As we indicated in Module 2, radical acceptance of reality means taking life as it is, with its pleasant and unpleasant aspects.
Acknowledging the presence of difficulties is an important step towards change. Radical acceptance of reality is therefore the opposite of doing nothing or giving up in the face of life’s difficulties.
To practise radical acceptance of reality, you must acknowledge how you feel here and now without passing judgment and without being critical. This is also referred to as the practice of non-judgment.
