To develop new habits of doing and thinking, you have to put your learning into practice. The You, Me, Baby program proposes three practical ways for you to do this.
1. Exercises
Practical exercises allow you to apply the concepts you have learned. To develop new ways of doing and thinking, you really need to practise. Practising thinking, communicating or relaxing is like practising any other skill. It is through practice that you eventually become good at using new skills in your daily life.
2. Strategies
These exercises help you to plan the next steps for improving your well-being and strengthening your interpersonal relationships.
2. Food for thought
These exercises will help you to think about the concepts presented or the topics that we suggest you discuss with your partner, or a family member, friend or health care providers.
Remember that it takes time and effort to develop new skills. Practising them requires patience, humility, curiosity, and self-compassion.
