Strategy: How to practise gratitude

It is normal to focus on negative emotions when a difficult event occurs. It is better not to dwell on sadness or anger so that we do not become overwhelmed by our emotions. In order to move passed a negative state of mind, it can be helpful to remind ourselves of the things we are most grateful for.

The glass can be perceived as half empty or half full. The half you choose to focus on will have a significant effect on your mood and well-being. Practising gratitude-promoting exercises as often as possible will help you see the bright side, even on the darkest days.
